In August 2010, Duane Doogan set up with the help of Luke Barry as an outlet to voice his opinions and ideas on the world of professional wrestling, after a short period of time, he began recruiting several other writers to contribute to the site before launching the official WrestlingVoice Podcast in October 2010, kicking off with an exclusive interview with WWE Superstar Chris Jericho.

Names such as “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Mick Foley and many more were added to list of great stars that would appear on the WrestlingVoice Podcast, due to this success and the growing interest on the site, both Luke & Duane decided to launch Wrestling Voice Radio; a weekly wrestling talk show featuring special guest interviews and features which ran until 2012.

2014 sees the relaunch of Wrestling Voice Radio, with Seán Walsh joining the team as a show host, the new WVR will feature interviews, brand new feature shows and much more!

Duane & Luke would gain some popularity within the wrestling world in 2011 when they wrote & released the song ‘Just Take Care, Spike Your Hair (The Broski of the Week Song)’, known as the theme song to WWE Superstar Zack Ryder’s YouTube Show; Z! True Long Island Story.

Duane Doogan

Duane was introduced to wrestling in the Summer of 1997 with the Canadian Stampede pay per view, as a result of a self-bet his favourite wrestler, fortunately, has always been The Undertaker and his matches with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin from Fully Loaded 1999 and Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 25 top his list. He is also the man behind a popular wrestling inspired t-shirt shop and designs ring gear for several WWE Superstars such as Evan Bourne, Zack Ryder, Chris Hero, Curt Hawkins, Trent? & more.

Luke Barry

As far back as Luke can remember, he has always been a wrestling fan, his favourite wrestlers have always been Shawn Michaels & Bret Hart, the first pay per view he can remember watching was King of the Ring 1993. He lists his favourite matches as either Shawn & ‘Taker at WrestleMania 25 or the Iron Man Match at WrestleMania 12. He is also a current trainee at the Premier Pro Wresting Academy.

Seán Walsh

Seán was first exposed to wrestling when flicking through the channels on TV at the age of 4. Like most wrestling fans, he saw it and was hooked. His favourite wrestlers of all time varies from Bret “Hitman” Hart and CM Punk to “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and The Rock depending on his mood and how much he’s had to drink. Controversially, he cites Alicia Fox versus Melina for the Divas Championship as his all-time favourite match. An award nominated radio presenter and producer, Seán combines his two passions as he joins Wrestling Voice Radio.
